The world around us shapes our being; for the most part, we only know what we're shown.

TALKING THROUGH GLASS

The desire to not only have new firsthand experiences, but to share them with others, is what attracted me most toward photography. You explore, you do your best to capture, and then you share. It would be a lie to state that the sharing bit doesn't include any intent. My hope is that it resonates in some way; that can mean finding the inspiration to travel to different corners of the world, explore the outdoors (even if it's your own backyard), or to simply think with a new perspective.

WORDS

In that same respect, words can be visual. We bring them to life in our mind's eye and they provide more detailed information beyond the 1000 words of a picture. With that in mind, writing will be one of the elements of this (mainly photographic) website.

Where the words on this site will lead, I cannot yet say. I'm anticipating a great deal of it will focus on travel (destinations, nature, art, etc.) much like my photographic interests. However, could this also include photography tech and tips? Maybe. Waxing poetic about Thrice's discography and my love of Nutella?

Most likely.

My only intention is to remain open and, more importantly, truthful. Words aren't meaningful unless they've been laid bare.
